SOLAR ENERGY FOR THEMA PRIMARY SCHOOL

Chamba/Malawi

Located in Chamba village, Thema Primary School serves the population of 12 villages and is attended by 1 110 students: 517 boys and 593 girls. 83 of these students are orphans or vulnerable children.

ERI’s aim was to provide the school with electricity via solar energy, which it has now done! Current and future students will have access to solar energy and light even after the sun sets. In addition to this installation of solar panels, Innovation Africa delivered 125 school desks, allowing children to study in a more comfortable and studious environment.
